Why is the Outlook add-in displaying a blank screen?

If the TransferNow Outlook add-in appears blank or empty instead of displaying its content, it is likely due to a cache issue. This problem can be easily resolved by clearing a specific folder.


Cause of the issue


Microsoft Outlook caches certain add-in elements to optimize loading. However, sometimes this cache becomes corrupted, preventing the TransferNow Outlook add-in from displaying correctly. As a result, the add-in interface may appear blank (white screen).


How to fix this issue?


To resolve this issue, you need to clear the add-in cache by deleting the files in the following folder:


📂 Folder path to clear:


%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Wef\web2view


Steps to follow:


  1. Completely close Outlook.
  2. Open File Explorer on your computer.
  3. Copy and paste the following path into the address bar of File Explorer, then press Enter:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Wef\web2view

  1. Delete all contents of this folder.
  2. Restart Outlook and open the TransferNow Outlook add-in again.


After completing these steps, the add-in should display correctly.



What if the problem persists?


If the TransferNow Outlook add-in still appears blank after clearing the cache:
✔️ Restart your computer and then relaunch Outlook.
✔️ Ensure your Outlook version is up to date by installing the latest Microsoft updates.
✔️ Uninstall and reinstall the add-in from the Outlook Store.
