# Why is the file upload so slow?

The speed at which your files are sent depends solely on your internet connection. You can perform a connection test by following this link: https://www.google.com/search?q=speedtest

There are several types of internet connection:

* If you have an **ADSL internet connection**, then the download speed is 20 times faster than the upload speed.
* On the contrary, if you have an **SDSL internet connection**, the download rate is identical to the upload rate of data.
