Where do you store my files?

When using our service to send or receive files, you benefit from a dedicated and secure global cloud infrastructure where files are stored and encrypted on disk (AES-XTS 256-bit) in AICPA SOC 2 Type II data centers located across Europe, America, and Asia.

Depending on your location, a storage region is automatically assigned to you:

  • If you are in France, your files will be stored in Europe.
  • If you are in the United States, your files will be stored in the USA.
  • If you are in Singapore, your files will be stored in Asia.

Additionally, your personal data is encrypted in transit using the SSL/TLS (https) protocol and at rest with 256-bit advanced encryption standard (AES). Each encryption key is itself encrypted with a set of master keys that are regularly rotated.

With a TransferNow account, you can choose a specific storage region. For example, if you are in France, you can opt to store your files in Paris, France.

Our medium-term goal is to expand and offer new storage regions, allowing you to store your files closer to you or in the region of your choice.
